The sculpture “Joy” by Michael Levchenko is an image of a man, whose natural desire is to be happy.
The feeling of happiness is formed from daily joyful moments and positive emotions, which are symbolized by simple geometrical shapes joined together.
But joy is very fragile and unstable. Harmony can break up into elements at any time. A person is forced to constantly be at a balance in order to keep the feeling of joy. This idea is conveyed by the artist as a round element at the base of the sculpture. The image is completed by the head-eye element, through which a person looks inside himself as well as at the outside world.
